I write and draw children's books for a living. I first learned how to write stories from my mom, who was my 8th grade language arts teacher! Believe it or not, I failed her final exam because I forgot about it. Oh boy, was I in trouble for that! Over the years I had several wonderful teachers and professors who taught me how to write. I first fell in love with painting because of my grandfather, Al. I would go over to his house after school and paint with him. As an adult, my most influential teachers were Roger Armstrong (Disney) and Bob Singer (Hanna Barbera). Sometimes, I get to teach college classes and speak at conferences. I love working with students, no matter what their age. I absolutely love adventures to new places that I have never been before. I love to travel all over the world. I enjoy meeting new people. I actually have friends on almost every continent! | ||||
